EP and NFTS Renew Partnership to Support Emerging UK Film and TV Talent
London, United Kingdom: Entertainment Partners (EP), the global leader in entertainment payroll and production management and production finance technology, today announced the renewal of its partnership with the UK’s National Film and Television School (NFTS), one of the world’s most renowned institutions for postgraduate behind-the-camera training in filmmaking, television and games.
With more than 700 students each year, the NFTS is committed to delivering practical world-class training which mirrors industry-standard practice, preparing students for a successful career. Since partnering with the NFTS in 2022, EP has supported this mission by equipping NFTS teachers and students with access to its industry-standard production technology solutions, including Movie Magic Budgeting and Movie Magic Scheduling.
Through the renewed partnership, students will gain even greater opportunities to develop critical skills in assistant directing and floor managing, production management and production finance. In addition to gaining real-world experience with EP’s cutting-edge technologies, students will have the opportunity to learn from EP’s production experts and will have access to on-demand training courses on key areas of production, including accounting, budgeting and more.
Jon Wardle, NFTS Director commented: "We’re thrilled to renew this valuable partnership. Working with industry leaders like Entertainment Partners gives our students unique insight into the bigger picture of the production workflow, helping them build essential real-world skills, from problem-solving and collaboration to keeping projects on track both financially and logistically from day one of their training."
Gary Bell, EP's EVP and Managing Director, UK and Ireland, said: “EP is proud to continue our partnership with the NFTS, reinforcing our commitment to the UK screen industry. In today's climate, the ability to manage production schedules and budgets and keep finances on track is more critical than ever. We’re delighted to equip NFTS students with the tools and expertise they need to thrive."
The renewed partnership builds on two years of successful collaboration, with both organisations committed to shaping the future of UK film and television by investing in the next generation of behind-the-camera professionals.
