A century of service to Hollywood
Founded in 1925 to bring order, opportunity and professionalism to background casting, Central Casting, an Entertainment Partners company, quickly became the industry gold standard in background casting. A position it continues to hold today, a century later.
More than a casting company, Central Casting is a trusted partner to the film industry. The organization has supported generations of filmmakers and producers, connecting countless productions with the perfect background actors to bring stories to life, and helping to create some of the most memorable scenes in cinematic and television history.
For 100 years, Central Casting has also provided job opportunities to hundreds of thousands of background actors from across California, supporting livelihoods and providing a vital entry point to many pursuing their dreams of a career in the entertainment industry.
“We are honored by this recognition from the California Senate and proud to celebrate the countless individuals who have been part of our story,” said Mark Goldstein, President & CEO of Entertainment Partners. “This recognition reflects not only our history and our legacy, but also our future as we continue to serve productions and performers across California.”
This resolution from the California State Senate is part of Central Casting’s year-long centennial celebration commemorating the company’s enduring influence on the entertainment industry.
