From Domestic TV to Mission Impossible 7: Nordic Countries Lead Production Return from COVID-19
One of the first countries to return to production during the pandemic, Iceland exempted cast and crew from standard quarantine requirements months ago. Norway successfully supported production return and attracted major international projects and Sweden never stopped production during Covid-19 and enabled early release of development money to help ensure progress of domestic projects in the pipeline.
Join Entertainment Partners’ Joe Chianese and AFCI’s Jess Conoplia as they speak with Film Commissioners Einar Tómasson (Iceland), Adrian Mitchell (Oslo) and Daniel Chilla (Stockholm, Sweden) and on-ground industry veterans, Lilja Snorradottir (Managing Director of Pegasus Pictures and the new Chairman of the Association of Icelandic Film Producers), Per-Henry Borch and Tor Arne Øvrebø (of Truenorth, who have collectively worked on MI7, MI6, TENET, EX MACHINA, NO TIME TO DIE, DUNE, BLACK WIDOW) and Sofie Palage (Warner Bros. International Television Production Sweden) to hear about the realities of producing during a pandemic, and how the region got it right. (Runtime: 1 hr 28 min)
