L.A. County Health Order on COVID-19 Protocols for Motion Picture Industry
On June 11, 2020, the Los Angeles County Health Department issued an order, setting forth mandatory COVID-19 safety protocols applicable to employers that are reopening in the film, television, and music production industries. Among the more significant mandates in the order, employers are required to: (1) arrange regular and periodic virus testing of cast and crew; (2) conduct a symptom check each day before employees enter the workplace; (3) provide all necessary personal protective equipment and infection prevention supplies to employees; and (4) designate a COVID-19 Safety Officer at the work location.
