Expertise: Production Incentives, Tax Credits, Incentives Administration

Lloyd Gunton is a Director at FLB Accountants, a UK-based accounting firm which was acquired by Entertainment Partners in 2022.

Lloyd has more than 13 years’ experience in accounting practice, having trained in Ernst & Young’s media audit division before joining Saffery Champness, where he specialized in creative sector tax credits. Lloyd joined FLB Accountants in 2023 and oversees the firm’s creative sector tax offering, providing UK incentives support for a wide range of domestic and international clients ranging from micro-budget independent production companies and game developers to major Hollywood studios.

He supports clients during every phase of production, from prep, advising on tax credit estimates, providing formal opinions to financiers on tax credits and structuring advice to maximize incentive value, through to handling the interim and final claim processes, and right up to cash receipt.

Widely considered an expert in the UK’s creative sector tax credits, Gunton also has extensive technical accounting experience in the film & TV sector, including audit services and reporting under the UK and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the International Financial Reporting Standards.
