General
Yes, as long as the email address linked to that EP Account is the same one used to invite you to SmartTime.
- From the sign-in screen, enter your email address and click Continue.
- Click the Forgot Password? link.
- Enter your email address again and click Continue.
- Enter your verification code (sent to your device) and click Verify.
- Create a new password and click Continue.
- Once your password has been reset, click Continue to log in.
Note: Your reset link expires after one hour. Repeat the above steps if you do not reset your password within this time limit.
EP's Password Expiration Policy dictates that passwords expire within 90 days plus the next sign-in for all EP Accounts. You will be prompted to change your password when you first sign in after your password expires. EP is dedicated to the security and protection of the data it maintains, including individual payroll and studio data. To keep EP’s commitment to aligning with industry best practices, EP requires customary password changes to decrease the risks introduced by lost, old, or stolen passwords. This policy also applies to Central Casting logins.
- From the sign-in screen, enter your current username and password.
- You are brought to the Change Password screen instead of signing in.
- Enter your current password in the Current Password field.
- Enter a new password in the New Password field. Password requirements display. The password also cannot match your last 18 passwords.
- Re-enter your new password in the Confirm Password field.
- Click Change Password to complete and sign in.
- You are all set. You will not need to change your password anywhere else. Your EP Account lets you use the same username and password for all products.
To keep your information safe, we require you to choose a strong password that meets the following requirements:
- Your password must not contain your name or email address
- Your password must not match any of your last 18 passwords
- Your password must:
- Be at least nine characters long
- Contain at least one uppercase character
- Contain at least one lowercase character
- Contain at least one special character
- Contain at least one number
Your account will automatically lock after five incorrect password attempts. To regain access, wait 30 minutes for your account to unlock and try again or reset your password.
Note: If you reset your password in the last 60 minutes, your account will not unlock after 30 minutes. Instead, you will need to wait 60 minutes and reset your password again.
If you’re encountering this error, here are some common reasons and solutions:
- Confirm that you are entering your email address correctly. Typos will prevent you from logging in successfully.
- Make sure you’re typing your password correctly, including capitalization and special characters.
- Check for any trailing spaces in the email or password fields.
- If your password is auto-populating, type it instead. The stored password may be incorrect.
- Ensure Caps Lock is not on.
- If you are unsure of your password, click the Forgot Password link to reset.

SmartTime
If you have permission to enter times for your department(s), you should see the Daily Times and Weekly Times options in the main menu. If you don’t see these options, or you can see them but you still can’t enter times, you may not have the right permissions or setup. Please speak to your production accountant who can check you have been set up correctly.
If you are responsible for submitting timecards on behalf of others, you will not be able to see the pay breakdown for your own fully approved timecards. We recommend that you speak to your accounts team about setting up a second account for your own timecards with a separate email.
SmartTime Mobile
Log in to SmartTime Mobile and select your project. From the main menu, select My Timecards, then select the timecard you wish to continue editing (note: by default, SmartTime Mobile shows the previous four weeks’ timesheets. Use the filters as needed to find the relevant timecard).
Log in to SmartTime Mobile and select your project. Use the filters as needed to find the relevant timecard). Once in the timecard, select Edit next to the relevant day/s to make changes. When you’re finished, select Save to save your changes or Sign & Submit to send it to your department’s approver.
Note: If the timecard says “View”, you will not be able to edit it. If this is the case, please speak to your production accountant.
By default, the My Timecards page only shows the previous four weeks of timecards. Use the filters for a custom search or to show all timecards.
You will receive an email notification to review and approve a timecard anytime a change is made that results in a change to the monetary values calculated.
For Android devices
- Go to stmobile.ep.com
- Select your browser’s overflow button (the three vertical dots)
- Select Add to Homescreen
- Select Add or drag and drop the icon to your homescreen
- Depending on your privacy settings, you may see the option to save your password. Enter your username and password and select Remember
For Apple devices
- In Safari, go to stmobile.ep.com (you cannot do this in Chrome)
- Select the square with the upwards arrow on the right-hand side of the URL field
- Select Add to Home Screen
- If you wish, you can rename from Favourites to SmartTime or the name of your production
- Log in with your SmartTime username and password
- Select Save This Password
The AutoFill Password option will be available the next time you log in. If you select this, it will auto-populate your login details.
