Founded in 1973 as Women In Film Los Angeles, WIF advocates for and advances the careers of women working in the screen industries—in front of and behind the camera, across all levels of experience—to achieve parity and transform culture.

WIF supports the creation of high-quality film, TV & media that reflects the world and its people through Fellowships and Emerging Careers programs; activates a community of storytellers, artists, and executives by providing meaningful connection and access to resources and information; and  holds companies accountable by encouraging the adoption of equitable best practices and policies through results-driven campaigns and research.
