Want to be on ‘The Bear'? Here's what to know about a casting call for season 5
As seen on NBC 5 Chicago.
Whether you're an aspiring actor or a seasoned service industry professional looking for a side gig — a new casting call for the next season of "The Bear" could be your big break.
Chicago-based 4 Star Casting announced Wednesday they are in charge of casting background actors for season five of "The Bear."
Though production is still working on the schedule and the complete list of roles for the season is not yet ready, the agency gave a step-by-step guide on how to prepare for the casting call.
Anyone interested in auditioning should update their account on Entertainment Partners' casting portal, including ensuring there is a current photo, and the size and props section are up to date, the agency said in a post on social media.
Background actors from the previous season who were stand-in's or front-of-the-house or kitchen staff are asked to send an email to extras4thebear@gmail.com, the agency said, with a subject line mentioning the specific role played. In the bulk of the email, include your name, role, phone number, email, measurements (including shoes) and a recent photo, the agency added.
Anyone with experience as a restaurant front-of-the-house or kitchen staff who has not worked the show yet should send an email to extras4thebear@gmail.com with the subject line of either "NEW front of house" or "NEW kitchen staff." The email should include your name, position (be exact), number of years of experience, knife skills level, phone, email, measurements (including shoes) and a recent photo.
