UK Government Announces Minimum Wage Updates
National Living Wage and National Minimum Wage rates increase for 2024.
December 5, 2023
The UK government has announced the new National Living Wage and National Minimum Wage rates, which will take effect on April 1, 2024.
It has also lowered the age threshold for the National Living Wage to 21 (rather than 23, as it currently stands).

In cash terms, this is the largest ever increase to the National Minimum Wage. UK productions should factor the uplift into their payroll budgets.
