Film Financing Explained: Equity Financing
James Schamus and Michael Helfant join our panel to share expert advice on funding film and television projects
July 15, 2021

Join EP's production and finance experts John Hadity (EVP, Incentives Group) and Alexis Alexanian (VP, Business Development), for a panel discussion on Equity Financing featuring award-winning screenwriter and producer James Schamus, and former studio executive and producer Michael Helfant.
Together they examine what Equity Financing really means, how it is raised, and what filmmakers must give away in exchange for receiving the investments. Additional topics will include proper corporate structure, what documentation must be prepared, terms for recoupment, caveats around this type of fundraising, and more (Runtime: 1 hr 15 min)
