Fully Focused and Entertainment Partners are delighted to announce their new partnership, which aims to foster the next generation of UK production professionals and break down barriers to entry for young people from underrepresented communities looking to embark on a career in film and TV.

Entertainment Partners – the global leader in entertainment payroll, production finance and production management solutions – has provided funding to support Fully Focused’s industry-leading training. This programme will support a cohort of 25 young people who have gained experience on low-budget short films but are keen to transition into production on high-end film and TV. Trainees will learn about working at scale, differences in production roles, key responsibilities and Entertainment Partners’ digital production solutions, including Movie Magic Budgeting and Movie Magic Scheduling.

“As part of Entertainment Partners’ commitment to the UK film and TV industry, we are proud to partner with Fully Focused to support them in breaking down barriers to employment and futureproofing the UK industry by attracting, training and retaining diverse talent. The production office is a vital piece of any film or TV production, and it’s essential that we equip the next generation of production professionals with the skills, experience and opportunity to thrive in these roles.” Gary Bell, Managing Director – Entertainment Partners UK.

For over 10 years, Fully Focused has been creating opportunities for emerging talent to gain experience at every stage of the production process. They are renowned for beautifully shot, award-winning dramas, comedies, documentaries and high-engagement social campaigns, creating paid roles and step-up opportunities which provide valuable showreel and CV credits.

With representation and equality at the heart, Fully Focused founded The Million Youth Media Academy, providing FREE easy-to-access skills training and career guidance with a focus on building confidence, soft skills and industry know-how which is crucial for progressing past entry level. This includes opening up opportunities to learn from relatable professionals, grow a network and – most importantly – access life-changing opportunities and paid work.

“Our industry should reflect the communities it serves, which requires deep understanding and commitment at every level. By removing barriers, tailoring support and creating inclusive, welcoming learning spaces, young people can gain everything they need to progress. We highly value like-minded partners like Entertainment Partners providing vital support for our work, directly fast-tracking learning for emerging talent, many of whom have not taken traditional routes.” Rosa Powloski, Strategy, Programmes & Operations, Fully Focused Productions.

This partnership is part of Entertainment Partners’ film and TV partnership programme. By supporting leading UK training organisations like Fully Focused, Entertainment Partners aims to help improve diversity, attract new talent to vital production roles, and provide individuals with the knowledge and expertise they need to succeed.

About Fully Focused

Fully Focused work to eliminate systematic inequalities in the film and TV industry via the creation and distribution of content, creating a more equitable media landscape that reflects the communities it serves. They are an award-winning, independent, youth-led production company, creating film and online content from 5 seconds to feature length. As well as delivering commissions across PSB’s and Streamers, FF also produce content for their own channel (Million Youth Media - YouTube - 100million +content views) and for a range of clients across sectors.

Fully Focused’s approach is as radical as the films that it makes. Every project has a team of under 26s leading key decisions at every stage of the production process from research and development through to launch. This opens up opportunities for young people to write, produce and craft content that young people and their communities can relate to.

100% of Fully Focused’s profit is reinvested into FREE training and support in all aspects of film and media. It offers a foot in the door for those who are brimming with talent but haven't taken a traditional education path, or have the skills but lack the confidence to progress. Everything Fully Focused/MYM does is grounded in making a positive difference to those who are directly involved and those who experience its content – triggering debate, thought and conversation.
