BURBANK, CA October 29, 2015 – Entertainment Partners, a 100% employee-owned company and the leading end-to-end provider of production management solutions for the entertainment industry, announced today the appointment of Ron Cogan, Vice President of Communications, to the Employee Ownership Foundation’s national Board of Trustees.
The Employee Ownership Foundation (EOF) is a 501(c)(3) foundation dedicated to promoting employee ownership and is an affiliate of The ESOP Association, a national trade association for employee-owned companies with Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs). Its primary purpose is to support programs that will increase the level of awareness and appreciation of the benefits of employee ownership and increase the number of employees who have access to these benefits. The Foundation is currently providing funding in the areas of education, performance improvement, communication, and information.
Entertainment Partners is actively involved in the employee ownership community and has received national and regional recognition for its own communications initiatives. Cogan frequently meets with legislators on Capitol Hill to promote awareness of employee ownership and has spoken about the company’s efforts at events for The ESOP Association, The National Center for Employee Ownership, and the Beyster Institute at the UC San Diego Rady School of Management.
“Employee ownership is a topic I am extremely passionate about,” notes Cogan. “I recently had the privilege of meeting dozens of brilliant scholars researching broad-based employee ownership and got to observe firsthand the beneficial outcomes of the work of the Foundation. I look forward to contributing to enhanced awareness of employee ownership across academia, the media, and the general public.”
“For the ESOP community to remain vibrant and relevant, new ESOPs need to be created, and getting the word out to a broader audience is not an easy task,” said Mark Lomele, Chair of the EOF. “It takes resources and money. With all of his accomplishments, we are honored to have Ron Cogan join our board to help us carry out this important mission.”
For the past five years, Cogan has served on the Steering Committee for the California/Western States chapter of The ESOP Association. He also presently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Burbank Temporary Aid Center, a resource dedicated to providing the poor, working poor, and homeless of the local community with basic services they need to live with dignity.
