WASHINGTON, D.C. May 9, 2014 – Entertainment Partners (EP), the leader in payroll, residuals, and production services, has been selected by The ESOP Association as the winner of two Awards for Communications Excellence (AACE): “2014 Employee Ownership Month Poster Contest Winner” and “Special Events and Promotions – Series of Events, Over 250 Employees.” The ESOP Association represents over 1,500 ESOP companies, with 2,500 members.
EP’s winning poster featured the tagline “We Own Our Future,” a concept which was created and designed by EP employee owners. The poster will be used by The ESOP Association to promote Employee Ownership Month in October, and is sent to all ESOP Association member companies across the country. This is the second time EP has won this award; the first win was in 2010.
“Our ESOP Committee works year round to make sure we celebrate October as Employee Ownership Month in the most diverse and creative ways,” notes Ron Cogan, Entertainment Partners’ VP of Communications. “From online bingo studded with ESOP facts to educational brown bag lunches, clever contests, and companywide potlucks, we manage to pack a month full of fun and education embraced by our whole company. To be recognized for this series of events and then to learn that our poster will be used across the country to commemorate Employee Ownership Month is an honor for which we are enormously proud.”
The AACE Awards are sponsored each year by the Association to recognize the outstanding communications and educational programs of its members. The awards are presented each May at the Association’s Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. to companies that have excelled in communicating the ESOP (employee stock ownership plan) and its meaning to the company’s employees.
AACE Award Winners are chosen by a panel of five judges made up of both management and non-management employee owners, each of whom has demonstrated active experience and interest in the field of ESOPs and employee ownership communications. Awards are based on: overall quality and quantity of employee owner education, contributions of employee owners, integration of the ESOP into company culture, frequency of ownership communications, involvement and/or response of employee owners, encouragement of ownership attitudes, clear explanations, creative ideas, graphic design, and technical quality.
