I created budgets in EP Budgeting 6.x and Classic Movie Magic. Can I open previous budgets in the new Movie Magic?

Yes, you can! Any budget created in EP Budgeting (EPB) 6.x or Classic Movie Magic Budgeting can be opened in Movie Magic Budgeting (MMB) 7. Any budgets created in MMB 7 must be exported to either EPB 6.x or Classic Movie Magic Budgeting to be opened in those earlier programs. If you have used any of the new features to create your MMB 7 budget, they will not be operational in earlier versions of budgeting. All calculations based on a new feature, such as Applied Credit, will be exported as a flat number.

What is a Group Status Conflict in EP Budgeting?

This means that more than one Group is applied to the Detail line(s) and that a conflict exists because one Group is included and one is excluded from the budget’s grand total. You decide the behavior by choosing to Include or Exclude in Setup Groups: Status if there is Group Status Conflict.

Compatibility with Mac OS X

Mac OS® X is more robust than previous versions of Mac OS®, but it is incompatible with some older Mac® programs. The Mac OS® X Classic environment is Mac OS® 9 running as an application within some versions of Mac OS® X, which allows you to use your older applications. However, Apple made a business decision to discontinue the Classic environment on Macs® with Intel® processors.

Classic Movie Magic Budgeting and Classic Movie Magic Scheduling are some of the 3rd-party software programs that will not run on the new Intel® processor-based Macs. In order to use the classic program, you will need to run the program on a non-Intel Mac or use your current serial numbers (Order ID numbers) to purchase an upgrade to the newest Movie Magic product (which will run on the new Intel® processor-based Macs) in our Online Store.
