Mark Goldstein, EP’s President and CEO, has announced that Chief Financial Officer Darren Seidel has moved into a joint role in which he will also serve as Chief Operations Officer. Seidel has been responsible for leading all finance activities including FP&A, accounting, treasury, tax, strategy and M&A, and played a key role in negotiating EP’s sale to TPG. In his new role Seidel will oversee the Executives leading the company’s payroll, residuals and Central Casting divisions. “Bringing these operational groups together on one team is going to create significant efficiencies and best position us for delivering ongoing exceptional client service,” stated Seidel.
Seidel previously served as Senior Vice President of International Finance at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group (WBHEG) where he oversaw international finance.
“Our clients have been telling me they have really begun to feel a wave of positive progress in their interactions with us,” said Goldstein. “These changes will further advance our commitment to providing premium products and services and enhanced experiences.”
Seidel recently delivered the welcome remarks at the Hollywood IT Society’s Hollywood Innovation and Technology Summit on October 3, at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, at which he emphasized the importance of building risk analysis and aversion into the equation regarding the decision to greenlight and fund technology projects.
