Can I access my VPO information anywhere in the world?
If you can access the Internet, you can access your files. Because this system is completely browser-based and there are no internal studio firewalls to worry about, information can be accessed anywhere in the world.
How do I download my payroll from VPO?
In your Global Vista database, go to Payroll > Invoice Processing > Payroll Receive . In the Payroll Receive module, go to Password > Setup. Enter your VPO Payroll username and password. Save and close the Password Setup window. Under Receive From, select VPO. In the File tab, click on the three small dots. Select the invoice(s) you want to download and press Enter. Press Enter again to begin receiving the selected payroll.
How do I download payroll from VPO?
In the VPO website, double-click on the payroll package. Save the payroll invoice in your c:discdownload folder. For Vista Local Users: In your Vista menu, click on Payroll>Invoice Processing>Payroll Receive. Make the Invoice File Location c:discdownload, all in lowercase, and press Enter. How fast should my Internet connection be to use VPO?
Obviously, the faster the connection the quicker reports will open on your computer. All documents can be opened and all forms can be completed speedily with a 56.6k modem. However, if you have access to a DSL Cable Modem or T-1 connection you’ll be happier.
How safe are my files on Virtual Production Office?
VPO understands the confidential nature of your information and the need for tight security. That is why we work with each studio to set up user preferences for each individual, complete with unique user names and passwords. If a user doesn’t have access to a particular document, that user will not see it. We maintain a secure web server using the latest encryption technology, backup protocols, and disaster recovery to ensure that all information stored on our site remains protected.
I’m locked out of VPO. What do I do?
VPO support can always unlock a user, but it takes the system approximately half an hour to unlock the user.
What is the wait time for files posted from the production office to the Internet?
Any forms created on the VPO system (i.e., Staff and Crew, Deal Memos, Travel, Hot Costs, Snapshots) are immediately accessible once the user adds or updates them. Reports sent as .pdf files can be uploaded right from the user’s desktop and can be read online instantly.
What kind of plug-ins do I need for VPO?
Because many of the files posted on the site are .pdf files, the only plug-in necessary is Adobe Acrobat Reader. This plug-in can be downloaded by going to ADOBE and selecting the Adobe Reader download.
What kind of software do I need to use Virtual Production Office?
All you need is an email account, an Internet browser and the Adobe Acrobat reader plug-in. It’s that easy. Users at the show level who are posting files will also need a full version of Adobe Acrobat to create .pdf files.
Who sees the reports I have posted in VPO?
We understand that all your files you are posting to the site are extremely confidential and are of concern to you. The only people who can access the files you are posting are the executives at the studio level who would be on your distribution list and the users in your office who have access to the site.
Why do I get an error that reads VPO Authentication Failed when attempting to download my payroll in Global Vista?
This means that the VPO login currently stored in the GV Payroll Receive module is invalid. Please verify the login by clicking on Password>Setup in the Payroll Receive module. Please contact VPO Support should you require a new VPO password.
Bad Characters for Usernames/Logins
Below is the list of invalid/illegal characters for ‘login’/’username’.
|and last but not least the infamous [blank_space]|
Do not use these characters when setting up in VPO. Should the user have a space in his/her name such as Van Dyke then for the login name remove the space and make it VanDyke.
Changing the Password to Meet Active Directory Requirements
- Open Web Browser.
- In the address bar enter: https://vpo.ep.com
- Select My Options.
- Select General.
Select Change My Password.
- Enter a new password with the requirements listed above.
How to Add Notifications
- Click My Options.
- Click My Notifications.
- Click on the Documents tab.
- Click the green plus sign.
- Click at least one option under the Notify Me When:
- Click For the Following:
- Click at least one option under Current Productions. Click the plus button and you will then see the shows you have permissions for.
- Select the show you would like to see notifications for. Then click the Save button.
How to Log In
- Please go to http://vpo.ep.com
- The EP VPO login page will open.
- Enter your User Id and Password.
- Click the Log On button.
- The EP VPO home page will open.
IE Settings for Proper Display of Preferred Shows in VPO
- From the browser, choose Tools and Internet Options.
- When users change the preferred show set up and they do not have this option selected it will not display properly. After this has been changed and they reload the page it will appear as normal.
