Can a copy of my W-2 or 1099 be faxed/emailed to me or to my accountant?

If you do not wish to receive your W-2 electronically, you must send a signed, written request, with the last 4 digits of your Social Security number, authorizing EP to release this information by fax or email. There is a 48 to 72 hour turnaround on requests. Your request can be made via one of the methods below:

CICPlus – For the online registration process, what web browsers are supported by the website?

The website supports most browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome & Safari.

CICPlus – How long does it take to receive the verification code needed to complete the online registration process to receive my 2017 Wage & Tax form online?

The verification code comes in the form of a voice message or an email within 1 to 2 mins depending on what option is selected when creating an account.

If you opted to receive the code via phone, please make sure to answer calls from unknown numbers if not, you may miss the automated call.

If you opted to receive the code via an email, please make sure to check your SPAM folder if you feel you did not receive the email.

CICPlus – I am having trouble registering to receive my W2 online.

CICPlus – I did not register before the January 17th deadline, am I still able to get my W2 online?

Yes, you may still go online to view/print forms. Since you did not register online prior to January 17th, you will be receiving a hard copy via regular mail.  You’ll also be pre-registering to receive your 2018 W2’s online.

CICPlus – On my 2017 W2 Wage & Tax statement it indicates that the form is “for information purposes only. Do not submit with tax return”. What am I supposed to use? Do I need another form?

This statement is indicating only the information in the earnings summary section should not be used for tax filling purposes.  Please use the applicable square provided to complete your Federal and State returns.

CICPlus – There is no Box D or Control Number on my W2, Do I need this information to file my return?

EP does not use Control Numbers for our W2’s.  This information is optional as it is not required. Per IRS regulations, you will be able to file your Tax Return without it.

CICPlus – What do I need to do if I do not receive the registration code that I requested to be sent to me?

A verification code is only valid for 15mins. After this duration, you may simply go back to the website and request another code to be sent out.

CICPlus – Why do I have blank pages that contain no dollar values in all appropriate boxes?

Please make note of the earnings summary section, the blank W2 is for informational purposes only. This page displays project details for the applicable state in which the amounts were earned.

CICPlus – Why do I have two states listed on the one tax form for 2017? This is different than in years past.

For the 2017 W2 wage & Tax Statements, there are changes that will now display two states per tax form page.  With this change, you are still receiving the necessary information required to complete your tax filling.

CICPlus – Why is the state information in the earnings summary section different than the state indicated in box 15?

The earnings summary section is for informational purposes only.  In this section, we are simply providing the actual amounts earned for each state for which you worked.

I am an independent contractor. Can you issue my wages on a 1099 instead of a W-2?

No. The federal government considers any person under an employer’s direction or control (i.e., the employer dictates hours and/or conditions) an employee. As such, withholding and employer taxes (e.g., FICA, SUI, and FUI) are due on wages and taxable allowances.

If the employer fails to comply, potential liabilities exist for all unpaid federal, state, and municipal taxes. In addition, penalties and interest may be levied. Even if the income is reported on a 1099 form, there would be no relief from these obligations if the individual is deemed an employee. Therefore, EP does not pay independent contractors.

I need a YTD earnings report. How can I get one?

A request for a YTD earnings report must be submitted in writing and must contain the last four digits of the employee’s Social Security number and signature. The request can be either faxed or mailed. The main fax number is 818.848.0254, Attn: PWE Support.

I never received an email notification that my W-2 was ready and I didn’t receive a printed copy in the mail. Where is my W-2?

The 2017 W-2s will be mailed out by January 31, 2018. If you register to receive your W-2 online, you can now log in and retrieve your W-2. Click here for instructions.

If you did not register to receive your W-2 online, you can request a copy of your W-2 or 1099 be faxed, mailed, or emailed to you by our PWE Support team.

I never received payment for the work listed on my W-2. Can you cancel and reissue me a new check?

If you believe you are missing a check, you can request a Detailed Earnings Report from PWE Support to reconcile payments received.

After you review the report and identify any payment(s) that were not received, you can send a signed, written request, with the last 4 digits of your Social Security number, requesting EP cancel and reissue the missing payment(s).

Yes. When you log in to the www.paperlessemployee.com/eptaxforms website, all W-2s from Entertainment Partners will be available. Be sure to scroll down through all pages after you open your W-2, as all W-2s will appear in the same PDF.

Why am I getting a 1099 for my corporation?
